For over 50 years, Suffield Troop 66 has been chartered by the West Suffield Congregational Church located at at the intersection of Mountain Road and North Grand Street in West Suffield, Connecticut. We meet at the church on Monday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Troop 66 typically has a roster of 20+ boys and 10+ registered adults to support them. The troop has outdoor events and camping at least once a month, provide service to our community, and look for exciting new ways to grow scouts into adults. We have traveled to Alaska, visited Washington DC, camped at the Herkimer Mines, done a weeklong bike trip on Cape Cod, attended the West Point Scoutmaster's Own Camporee and have our annual "Thanksgiving in the Woods" where we cook turkeys on a tripod.
We are always looking for new members who is age 11 or has completed the 5th Grade and is under the age of 18 is welcome to join. No prior Scouting experience is required. The troop (as of 2025) is currently boy only.
Everyone is welcome to stop in at a meeting to check us out and join in on the activities we are doing. No prior Scouting experience is required.
Only through the generosity and support of our charter organization, the West Suffield Congregational Church, have we been able to provide a quality program to our local youth.
